On September 27, 2018 at 18:08 UTC the 7th Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV "Kounotori-7”) was installed on its berthing port of the "Harmony” module of the International Space Station. American astronauts Andrew Feustel and Serena Auñón-Chancellor operating the Canadian-built arm, captured the HTV-7 “Kounotori” spacecraft at 11:36 UTC.

On September 22, 2018 a pair of "MINERVA-II 1" automated robots touched down on asteroid Ryugu after separating from Japanese “Hayabusa-2” space probe, sending back pictures as the probes bounced across the asteroid’s alien landscape nearly 200 million kilometers from Earth. The small rovers were released from the “Hayabusa-2” probe as the spacecraft descended about 55 meters from Ryugu. It was the first landing on an asteroid.

On September 22, 2018 at 17:52 UTC the Japanese HTV-7 (H-2 Transfer Vehicle) unmanned supply spacecraft was launched from Tanegashima Cosmodrome situated at the island located 115 km south of Kyushu. Kyushu is the third largest island of Japan and most southwesterly of its four main islands. The spacecraft was orbited by the Japanese H-2B rocket-carrier. The mission is Japan's seventh cargo delivery flight to the International Space station. The HTV-7 mission is also named Kounotori-7. Kounotori is the Japanese word for white stork. The spacecraft is to deliver about 5900 kilograms of cargo to the station’s crew.

On September 19, 2018 at 22:07 Beijing time, the Chang Zheng-3B (Long March-3B) rocket-carrier was launched from Xichang Cosmodrome, Sichuan province, southwestern China. The rocket orbited the 2 “Beidou” navigation satellites.

On September 16, 2018 at 16:38 UTC the PSLV-CA (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) rocket-carrier was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center on Sriharikota Island, India's primary launch site on the country's east coast. The rocket orbited 2 British Earth observation satellites: NovaSAR 1 and SSTL S1-4.

On September 15, 2018 at 13:02 UTC the "Delta-2” rocket-carrier was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, USA. The launch was performed by United Launch Alliance supported by the 30th Space Wing of US Air Force. It was the last launch of US "Delta-2” rocket-carrier. Delta-2 was part of the Delta rocket family and entered service in 1989. The main payload was NASA's “ICESat-2” satellite (Ice, Cloud, and Land Elevation Satellite-2). On September 7, 2018 at 03:15 UTC the “Long March – 2B” (“Changzheng-2B”) rocket-carrier was launched from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi Province. The rocket orbited the “Haiyang 1C” ocean observation satellite designed to monitor ocean pollution, measure sea temperatures and track ship movements.

On August 30, 2018 the “Progress MS-08” unmanned supply spacecraft was deorbited. Non-burnt fragments of the spacecraft drowned in the remote area of the Pacific at 02:07 UTC.

The rocket orbited the European “Aeolis” also known as ADM (Atmospheric Dynamics Mission) or the “Earth Explorer-4” satellite. The space vehicle was made by the “Airbus Defence and Space” company.
