On August 9, 2012 the Russian Post issued a postage stamp devoted to the 125th birthday Anniversary of Fridrikh Tsander, a pioneer of rocketry and spaceflight in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. He designed the first liquid-fuelled rocket to be launched in the Soviet Union, GIRD-X, and made many important theoretical contributions to the road to space.
The stamp depicts a portrait showing Fridrikh Tsander and his model of winged rocket that he believed would be suitable for interplanetary flight. The size of stamp is 42 X 30 millimeters. The stamp is printed by sheets of 15 (3 X 5) stamps. Total edition is 525 000 stamps (35 000 sheets).
In 2012 Russian Post issued the postal stationery devoted to the Cosmonautic Day. The cover depicts the "Vostok” rocket-carrier that orbited Yuri Gagarin on April 12, 1961. Total edition is 2 000 000 envelops. The cover is cancelled with the "Cosmonautic Day” official post mark in Moscow on April 12, 2012.
In April 2011 Russian Post issued a new special post mark for the Post Office in Zvyozdny Gorodok, the place where Russian Cosmonaut Training Centre is situated.
The post mark is devoted to the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s space flight and is supplied with the date setting mechanism.

In 2011 the Russian Post issued 2 postal stationeries (an envelope and a post card) devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Armavir High Military Aviation College (Armavirskoe High Military Aviation School of Pilots).
On the 23rd of February, 2011 the special cancellation devoted to the event took place in the town of Armavir, Krasnodar region, Russia.
It is interesting that Russian cosmonaut Gennadiy Manakov studied in Armavirskoe Military Aviation School of Pilots.
On January 25, 2011 Russian Post issued a postage stamp devoted to Mstislav KELDYSH, Soviet scientist in the field of mathematics and mechanics.
Keldysh's main efforts were devoted to jet propulsion and rockets including supersonic gas dynamics, heat and mass exchange, heat shielding etc. 1959 saw successful testing of the Soviet first cruise missile, which displayed better performance than the Navajo missile being designed in USA at the time.
