Keldysh's main efforts were devoted to jet propulsion and rockets including supersonic gas dynamics, heat and mass exchange, heat shielding etc. 1959 saw successful testing of the Soviet first cruise missile, which displayed better performance than the Navajo missile being designed in USA at the time.

In 2010 the Russian Post issued a postal stationery devoted to the 75th anniversary of cosmonaut Vladislav Volkov’s birthday.

Vladislav Volkov was born on the 23rd of November 1935. The cover was postmarked at the Post Office of Zvyozdny Gorodok where cosmonaut Vladislav Volkov prepared for his 2 space flights.

On November 29, 2010 the Russian Post issued a postage stamp devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Kachin Military Aviation College (Kachinskoe Military Aviation School of Pilots).

The stamp is printed in small sheets.

One sheet consists of 8 stamps and one tablet.

Total edition is 280 000 stamps (35 000 small sheets).

It is interesting that several Russian cosmonauts studied in Kachinskoe Military Aviation School of Pilots.
