Russian cosmonauts take Olympic torch on spacewalk for first time.

On November 09, 2013 two Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazanskiy took an Olympic torch on a spacewalk for the first time in history as part of the Sochi 2014 torch relay.
The spacewalk began at 14:34 UTC when the cosmonauts opened the hatch of the Russian "Pirs” module of the International Space Station.
The torch, unlit for safety reasons, was taken out from the capsule of the International Space Station (ISS) at around 14:50 UTC by the spacewalkers.
The torch will stay at the orbital station for another two days. It is due to be brought back to Earth by Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin, U.S. astronaut Karen Nyberg and Italian Luca Parmitano, of the European Space Agency, who will depart the ISS on board the Soyuz TMA-09M spacecraft on November 11.

Russian Soyuz TMA-11M spacecraft docked to the ISS.
On November 07, 2013 at 10:28 UTC the "Soyuz TMA-11M” spacecraft docked with the Russian "Rassvet” module of the International Space Station in automatic regime.
The Soyuz TMA-11M delivered three new members of Expedition 38 to the ISS, Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin, American astronaut Richard Mastracchio, Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata.
The new comers joined current ISS expedition members – Russian cosmonauts Fjodor Yurchikhin, Oleg Kotov, Sergey Ryazanskiy, Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano, American astronauts Karen Nyberg and Michael Hopkins to form the station’s crew of 9 members (so-called Expedition 37 and a half).
When on November 11, 2013 Fjodor Yurchikhin, Luca Parmitano and Karen Nyberg return to Earth, the 6 others (Oleg Kotov, Sergey Ryazanskiy, Michael Hopkins, Mikhail Tyurin, Richard Mastracchio, and Koichi Wakata) will form Expedition 38 crew.

Soyuz TMA-09M redocking.
On November 01, 2013 the "Soyuz TMA-09M” spacecraft was redocked from the "Rassvet” module to the "Zvezda” module of the International Space Station.
The operation was carried out manually by Soyuz commander, Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin. During the redocking the crew also consisted of Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano and American astronauts Karen Nyberg.
Three other crew members – Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazanskiy as well as American astronaut Michael Hopkins - were in the station following the redocking operation.
The Soyuz TMA-09M undocked from the station at 08:33 UTC. The redocking mission lasted about 20 minutes. At 08:54 UTC the spacecraft docked to the docking port of the "Zvezda” module.
The docking port of the "Rassvet” module is to be occupied by the Soyuz TMA-11M manned spacecraft, which is scheduled for launch from Baykonur Cosmodrome on November 07, 2013.

On September 29, 2013 the American "Cygnus” private unmanned supply spacecraft was docked to the International Space Station (ISS). The Cygnus spacecraft was grappled by a robotic arm operated by astronauts inside the space station at about 11:00 UTC. The cargo spacecraft was docked to the station’s "Harmony” module. The official time of capture of the "Cygnus” with the Harmony module's common berthing mechanism was 12:44 UTC. Cygnus will remain attached to the ISS for 30 days before departing with disposal cargo on board. A privately-owned cargo ship is operated by U.S. space company Orbital Sciences Corp.
Orbital is the second U.S. company to send a commercial cargo craft to the space station. SpaceX was the first company to send its own cargo ship with two successful commercial resupply missions and two demonstration missions under its belt.
