Russia launched Soyuz TMA-05M manned spacecraft.
On July 15, 2012 at 02:40 UTC the Russian "Soyuz TMA-05M” spacecraft was launched from Baykonur Cosmodrome. The space vehicle was orbited by the Russian "Soyuz-FG” rocket-carrier. The spacecraft is piloted by 3 cosmonauts: Commander, Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko (center); flight-engineer, American astronaut Sunita Williams (right); flight-engineer, Japanese astronaut Akihiko Hoshide (left). The space vehicle is to dock with the International Space Station on July 17.

Astronaut Alan Poindexter died in accident.
On July 01, 2012 American astronaut Alan Goodwin Poindexter died from injuries sustained in a jet ski crash in Florida. He was 50 years old. A.Poindexter, a two-time space shuttle flier, was jet skiing with his sons near Pensacola Beach, when the accident occurred. Poindexter and his son were still sitting on the jet ski when Poindexter's oldest son, 26-year-old Zachary, crashed into them on a separate jet ski. Poindexter later died of his injuries after being airlifted to a nearby Baptist Hospital.

Russian Soyuz TMA-03M manned spacecraft landed.
On July 1, 2012 at 08:14 UTC the Soyuz TMA-03M landing capsule landed safely at a distance of 148 kilometers to South-East from the city of Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan.

The spacecraft delivered to Earth the 3 members of ISS’s Expedition 31 – Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, American astronaut Donald Pettit and European Space Agency astronaut Andre Kuipers (the Netherlands). They spent in space 192 days, 18 hours, 58 minutes and 37 seconds. Three other ISS crew members – Russian cosmonauts Gennady Padalka and Sergei Revin and American astronaut Joseph Acaba - remained in orbit aboard the International Space Station.

On July 01, 2012 at 04:47 UTC the Russian "Soyuz TMA-03M” manned spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station to deliver to Earth the 3 members of Expedition 31 – Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, American astronaut Donald Pettit and European Space Agency astronaut Andre Kuipers (the Netherlands).

Chinese Shenzhou-9 spacecraft safely returned to Earth.
On June 29, 2012 at 02:01 UTC the Shenzhou-9 return capsule touched down in Inner Mongolia, northern China. The 3 Chinese cosmonauts - Jing Haipeng, Liu Wang and first Chinese woman-cosmonaut Liu Yang safely returned to Earth after fulfilling the country’s first manned space docking. Medical staff entered the capsule and reported the astronauts were in good conditions.
The space flight lasted 12 days, 15 hours, 23 minutes and 35 seconds. The record flight duration for Chinese manned space flights.

Shenzhou-9 undocked from Tiangong-1 lab module.
On June 28, 2012 at 01:22 UTC the Shenzhou-9 spacecraft with 3 cosmonauts aboard undocked from the Tiangong-1 space station to begin returning to Earth. Liu Wang, one of the cosmonauts, conducted the operation to separate Shenzhou-9 and the orbiting Tiangong-1. He continued manual operations to direct the spacecraft to a safe distance from the lab module. During their stay in Tiangong-1, all experiments and tests were finished as scheduled and produced valuable data.

China's first manual space docking was successful.
On June 24, 2012 the crew of China’s "Shenzhou-9” spacecraft performed the China's first manual space docking.
First the "Shenzhou-9” spacecraft undocked from the "Tiangong-1” space station at 03:09 UTC and departed from the station at a distance of about 300 meters. Then the crew (Liu Wang, Jing Haipeng, Liu Yang) began to perform a docking. When the spacecraft was at a distance of 140 meters from the station the crew continued the docking in manual regime.
Cosmonaut Liu Wang controlled the Shenzhou-9 spacecraft and docked the spacecraft to the "Tiangong-1” space station at 04:48 UTC.

Chinese enter the space station for first time.
On June 18, 2012 at 09:07 UTC Jing Haipeng, commander of China's first manned space docking mission onboard the Shenzhou-9 spacecraft, entered the "Tiangong-1” orbital station, assisted by his crew mates Liu Wang and Liu Yang. The 8.5-tonne space lab module has been traveling around Earth for 262 days since it was launched in September 2011.

On June 18, 2012 at 06:07 UTC the "Shenzhou-9” spacecraft automatically docked with the "Tiangong-1” orbital station. The "Shenzhou-9”, with three crew members on board, including China’s first female cosmonaut, 33-year-old Liu Yang, was launched from the Jiuquan space center in the Gobi Desert, China on June 16.

On June 16, 2012 at 10:37 UTC the "Shenzhou-9” manned spacecraft was launched from Jiuquan Launch Center in Jiuquan, northwest China's Gansu Province (China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region). The crew consists of Jing Haipeng - a veteran Chinese cosmonaut – Commander of the crew; Liu Wang an officer in the Chinese Air Force, the pilot of Shenzhou 9; Liu Yang, a 33-year-old Air Force pilot, the China's first woman in space.
